Jamie DeMaria has over twenty-five years of experience in driving excellence and innovation across multiple sectors, particularly within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Jamie has a background in medical affairs, clinical development, medical education, and marketing with a focus in oncology and cardiovascular medicine. Currently, Jamie is the Global Head, Medical Affairs Excellence for Boehringer-Ingelheim, leading the cross-functional implementation of global capabilities across therapeutic areas. Recently, he served as the Head of the Center for Innovations and Medical Excellence for US Medical Affairs Oncology at AstraZeneca. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Jamie led the US Field Medical team operations and excellence for oncology, immuno-inflammation, and rare diseases at Amplity Health and for nearly a decade he led the Global Medical Education division of Medscape, a WebMD company. Prior to WebMD, Jamie worked in both medical affairs and marketing, across the globe in interventional cardiovascular medicine and neuro-oncology.

Jamie holds a BS in Biological Science from the University of Notre Dame, a PhD in Neuroscience and a MS in Biology from Florida State University and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
